Generally at every oil change is sufficient to take a quick look at hoses and connections, but a more in depth look on older cars is a good idea every 6 months or so. The older the car the more often you should do it. Almost all of the engine overhaul jobs we take in are from cooling system failure, so don’t put it off!

It depends on how often you use your car as well as how bad the air quality/humidity level, but we recommend a similar service interval as your house a/c unit cleaning. Approximately every 6 months to a year, or if you notice other issues such as an unpleasant odor, restricted airflow, or sub par cooling.

Most older vehicles with non-electronic ignitions should be tuned every 15-20,000 km. or every year, whichever comes first. Newer cars with electronic ignition and fuel injection systems are scheduled to go from 40,000 km. to as many as 160,000 km. without needing a major tune-up.
